Oak Mountain State Park offers a variety of camping options, including RV sites with full hookups, tent sites, and equestrian camping. The park spans over 11,000 acres and provides numerous amenities such as hiking trails, a golf course, and is golf cart friendly.

Regarding the cancellation policy for campground reservations, specific details are not readily available online. Some visitors have mentioned that a 72-hour notice is required for cancellations

The Kentucky Horse Park Campground offers 260 campsites equipped with water and 20/30/50 amp electrical hookups. Each site features a paved back-in pad, fire ring, and picnic table. While sewer hookups are not available at individual sites, two dump stations are provided for campers' convenience.

The campground is golf cart friendly, with a $25 fee for cart usage. However, campers with a valid handicap placard are exempt from this fee.

Additionally, a bike trail, known as the Legacy Trail, connects the campground to downtown Lexington, offering a scenic route for cyclists.

Regarding reservations, the campground does not hold sites; so once we book, you will need to book. We are attempting to secure the C section.

The cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations made 15 or more days prior to arrival: A reservation fee of $6.00 plus a cancellation fee of $10.00 will be applied. The remaining balance will be refunded.

  • Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to arrival: A reservation fee of $6.00, a cancellation fee of $10.00, and the use fee for the first night's stay will be applied. The remainder will be refunded.

  • Same-day cancellations: To cancel on the day of arrival, you must call the campground store. Refunds are subject to approval by campground management, and no refunds will be given once a customer has checked in

AS FOR JADE. May 1st, is the deadline to book with a one week cancellation policy which there is a $50.00 surrender fee, but you can re-book and you would not lose the fee. You will lose a one night booking if you cancel less than a week  Campground is not golf cart friendly.  Current golf cart rental price is $80.00 a day.  Ask about discounts. The campground provides a trolley to King’s Island Amusement Park. Currently Flo and Mike have secured reservations.
